It was a pleasure of staying at your inn. My wife and I are innkeepers and appreciate the work It takes to run an inn. The breakfast was wonderful, the gardens were beautiful, and the room was comfortable. We highly recommend staying at the Arrowhead Inn.

We were in town for an event and stayed the night at Arrowhead Inn. It was probably the best experience I've ever had staying anywhere. Not a single stone was left unturned, I can't think of a single thing they can do better. We will definitely be back!

Upon making my reservation I emailed the inn and did not receive a response for a while so I emailed again. When I first arrived it took awhile to get the inn-sitter’s attention. The inn keepers were away at the time. But when we did get her attention, and were able to check in, she gave us a brief tour and took us to our room which was absolutely lovely. The bed in particular is super comfortable. The house, while being from the late 1700’s, is in great shape and has had many upgrades including the tub/rain shower in our room as well as gas fireplace. We stayed in the Benson, which was downstairs very close to the dining area. They have preserved a lot of the history within the house by including pictures of its previous owners and even a book explaining some of the history. The inn keeper arrived later that evening and were there to serve us breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was different both mornings and equally delicious. The inn keeper was able to share a lot of the history of the house and area with us, as well as recommend some places for us to visit in downtown Durham. He was very personable and we enjoyed talking with him. Overall we had a great experience staying at Arrowhead. The slower check-in due to the inn-sitter was understandable. She was the chef and was in the kitchen and unable to see us due to the way the building is set up, but keeping the phone with her while outside of the office would be a good idea, since we did ring the front door bell and saw the cell ringing “front door” on her desk incessantly whilst she was away.

The arrowhead inn offers comfortable, cozy, romantic and unique rooms that are simply better than any luxury hotel that I have stayed at. We stayed in the Lipscomb Room which was cozy and clean. Everything in the room was thoughtful and unique. The warm fireplace, the old clearclick radio, the well maintained wooden floorboard, the list goes on. Alot of different antique elements with modern amenities. Not only were the accommodations so comfortable, the breakfast that was served was equally as spectacular. A great place to stay at for a special occasion. Loved the inn!

An absolutely first class experience. Ron and Stephanie truly know how to treat their guests and you can tell that they love what they do. The rooms are clean, and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The breakfasts were amazing. I would highly recommend Arrowhead to anyone looking to stay in the Durham area. You will not be disappointed!

Arrowhead Inn is a true gem. This very historic B&B has been meticulously restored and maintained. The garden is beautiful, with mature magnolia trees and fragrant jasmine. This would be a great place to get married! The owners have thought of every detail to make you feel at home. We loved the breakfast, served with fresh fruit and a slice of home made cake. Owner Ron is the perfect host, making sure you have everything you need. Highly recommend!!

This is a hidden jewel. Do not hesitate to book here. It is a wonderful step back in time. Actually all the way to 1775 as the house itself is older than the United States. The gardens are beautiful and we found ourselves constantly taking pictures of rabbit, squirrels, and owls and birds as the lush area made us feel like we were in some remote resort. Ron and his staff do a wonderful job of making you feel at home and cooking wonderful gourmet breakfasts. The biggest magnolia trees in the world as far as I know must be here. It is a magical place. I sprung for the romance package which involved rose petals flowers, and bath bombs. It was a big hit with the Mrs.. We stayed in the cottage, which was extremely quiet and private. Sitting on the porch, swing listening to the Serenade of birds and cicadas and watching baby bunnies bounce around while having a cup of coffee is hard to beat. It is not that far to get to town from this, but there are no walkable restaurants. However, you can get delivery. For those of you that need an electric charger for your cars there are a couple. Highly recommend arrowhead inn.

I surprised my husband with a local night away. We usually would stay at a hotel on Franklin St. and walk to dinner. However this will be our new local get away. You cannot beat the price for all the great amenities and 5 star service from the owners. The breakfast was delicious! I wish I had thought to take a picture for this review. I do not have anything negative to say.
