As a life long resident of NC of 35 years, I have eaten some PHENOMENAL BBQ in my time. I have not had BBQ and ribs this good in at least 15 years. First time I've been to this restaurant, and I WILL be back. Everything was excellent. The service, the atmosphere, the food! The side dishes, omg!! I cannot recommend the green beans highly enough! They cook em right! Seasoned with bacon and onions. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Mom got the chili and it's to die for!

My group had the tasty brisket taco appetizer (one small taco each), and two of us had the cow jumped over the moon burger, which we both enjoyed. The menu says the burger is made with a blend of short rib and chuck, topped with roasted bacon onion jam, roasted garlic aioli, and Brie cheese. It was fantastic and juicy. The six-ounce burger, two sides (think I got collards and fries), and appetizer were portioned well for me as a petite female. We also got tasty adult beverages- an old fashioned, which I heard was good, and two of us relived our college days with a cheap beer and shot of Avion tequila combo. Our server was friendly, timely, and helpful, and the local jazz band was skilled in voice and instruments. Being at the front and center table, near the band, it was quite loud, especially having members of our group with limited hearing. We still had a great time and will return. By the way, on a previous visit, we had bread pudding for dessert, and it was really good- try it if you’re a bread pudding fan, or even if not!

The BNG feels like a home for blues and music lovers. The owner, Bill, is kind and personable. The food is good, and the Blues jam on Tuesday night is like nothing we've ever seen before! Waitresses are great, too! One of the most fun bars we've ever been at!

This is the place to come and it's always a good time. We listened to their house band we were totally pleased. FREE admission to an awesome band. They also have a guest band that plays later in the night. The menu..so awesome. The food is perfection. I had my very favorite french fry. That says a lot. You will have a great time. If you have your dancing shoes on there is a floor. It's very layed back or dress up. Make a date of it. I love it here.

Live music draws a crowd! I love how excited the audience is and how committed the bands are to their cover shows! The ribs are exceptional and you can’t go wrong with any of the sides. Loved the smoked chicken and pulled pork as well although the rack of ribs is the way to go

Seasoned crowd on Wednesday nights for live blues as expected. Very packed, standing room only so arrive early. Wings were good, greens bland and mack n cheese tasty but somewhat bland also. Didn't have any drinks. The music was definitely worth the crowd and wait on food or seating. Have an outdoor area in the back that's larger but was too hot to sit out there. The inside was comfortable even with a packed crowd as the AC was definitely working.

Found this great place for live music on a Tuesday night. We were blown away, jam night is not to be missed. BBQ is solid and service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

Really good food in a great atmosphere with great service. I plan to visit again soon to support this great local restaurant and music venue because they recently lost their dedicated parking area to an apartment developer in downtown Durham😔. BUT there are still no-cost on-street parking options close by. Don't miss out!
