Decided to go here for breakfast today and there was about a 20 minute wait time, when it was time to be seated, I was thrown back when the hostess said to us and another party " you can go to table 1 and table 2 on the left", all while pointing to the area, without actually taking us to the table. As I watched this seems to be the normal practice in this establishment which surprised me since it's not a seat yourself restaurant. In my opinion, it takes away completely the customer service that is expected from a hostess. The other thing that I noticed was the same hostess was wearing a mask which I absolutely have no problem with but it was worn under her nose and mouth so what exactly was the point of wearing it in the first place as she never pulled it up while we were there. Kinda defeats the purpose of wearing one. On to the food itself, my husband ordered the "Works " omelet which he really enjoyed, however I ordered 1 pancake, side of grits and bacon. I was disappointed in the pancakes as they were cold where the butter didn't even melt not to mention the amount of butter that was on top of the pancake and grits. Maybe it was just a off day for us.

Young man Perry waited on us. His table service was excellent. My wife took a chance and ordered a specialty French toast that proved to be too soupy to eat. She sent it back and Perry fast-tracked a simple cheese omelet. The omelet was 💯 perfect. I had the Brigs Benedict and crispy bacon. Both prepared perfect. The Hollandaise could have had more lemon and I admit my bias on this. Liked that he gave us a thermal pitcher of coffee...they're small but it saved him steps. They have a small military discount. It's a clean place that enjoys high flow of patrons. Still, they turn table we'll and we didn't have a wait. We'll go back when we're in town again.

Great place for breakfast. They got so many things on the menu☺️ there was a line in the morning during weekends but we didn’t have to wait long -around 10 minutes as things were moving pretty fast. Yummy food with prompt service and reasonable prices. Definitely will be back 😋

The service at this location is always up to par. The servers are always nice and have a smile. However, I’m not a fan of the food so much. When it comes to the atmosphere, it’s extremely tight in there. The coffee tastes watered down like they’re trying to stretch it.

It's a good place for a filling breakfast, or you can order lunch/dinner at any time. It was my first time going, and my kids loved it. The dining area is smaller than I thought. So I would recommend coming early between the hours of 7am (open) to 9 am just so you can sit and eat comfortably. I came in at 8 and left around 9 and noticed that's the golden hour of when it started to pick up. I recommend the French Toast, and if you have kids, the kids' platter or combo is filling for a child (nice size pancake). I will say that the fresh fruit should be into smaller sizes and peeled better because my kids had a hard time eating it (melon and pineapple), and the orange slice can be better too. They do offer takeout as well with parking spots reserved in the front.

This used to be our favorite place for breakfast as a family growing up in Durham, but recent visits have solidified the fact that it is no longer what it used to be. There’s one particular hostess that greets people with a mumble and no eye contact as if she’s annoyed that you came in. Our waiter took our order but we never saw him again. My grits were ice cold. You know it’s bad when the butter doesn’t even melt. Hospitality is gone and it used to be great. So sad. As a former commercial banker this is typically the stage before a business goes under. Then the owners will be wondering what happened.
