I'm from out of town and ordered a cake in advance of coming to the area for a conference. I asked for a sophisticated birthday cake for a high-up person in the group attending the conference. I regret not getting a picture, but it was lovely! White buttercream frosting with classic black piping and gold dragees. So beautiful, and it was also v. yummy.
Also, I ate an amazing cookie here for my breakfast while the finishing touches were going on the cake. Mmm.
Finally - so easy to order over the phone and the people who helped me out were very friendly. Thank you!

The shop is beautiful. It gives off bakery-lounge vibes. There is relaxing music playing and seating for a nice cup of coffee and a decadent dessert. My favorite dessert is the Hummingbird Cake. It is so rich it’s ingredients are balanced so you taste a little of everything in every bite! The frosting is to-die-for!!! No boxed mess—it is 100% homemade-fluffy and light whipped cream cheese that is not overly sweet.
Plus: they have half slices (good for diabetics or those dieting)—but call ahead. They don’t make this—they are a result of extra cake leftovers. The cupcakes are good but small/standard size for almost $4.00. But they do come in the same flavors as their cakes. Banana pudding taste cooked or baked.

If you haven’t gotten an opportunity to stop by and talk with the owner, you’re missing out. She’s an incredibly inspiring being with a big heart and sweet spirit! Not only does she bake sweets and custom cakes, she teaches classes and hosts summer camps. This family owned gem is more than their delicious products, they have a mission and a true calling!

Today was my first visit to this bakery. I walked in looking for a chocolate cake last minute, with a picture in hand from another review (the Black Wall Street chocolate cake). They did not have one ready to go, but had the supplies on hand to put one together for me within a few hours. It was beautiful, and it was delicious! Seriously, so good.
I also got a strawberry cupcake that I ate right away that’s probably the best I’ve had - you could tell it had real strawberries in it! The staff and owner were so kind and the cakes were delicious. I’m definitely coming back another time and sharing with my friends! They deserve all the business!
ETA 8/1/24: the chocolate cake was even better today than yesterday! Just wow. Definitely going back!

We’re from out of town (Michigan) and stopped here to grab some cupcakes to help celebrate a 40th. They were amazing and the team in the shop was great too! Definitely stop here and get your sugar fix! (We also bought a blondie and it was one of the best ever!)

I didn't even know this little shop existed until we went to the store next door. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you walk in it's a decent sit down cafe with wifi. The baked goods are great! Got a two thumbs up for their chocolate chip brownies and Nutella cupcakes from my two boys. It's a nice place to sit and work as well. Plenty of parking! Definitely go visit if you're looking for a sweet treat or a place to hide out and work.

The owners are very friendly. I’m a huge fan of their apple cinnamon rolls. They’re amazing. The last time I was at their bakery; they were aware that I would be stopping in and saved me a cinnamon roll as they were selling out quickly. That’s top tier customer service. Plus I haven’t found anything that was not up to par. My coworkers and I enjoy getting treats from them.

Bull City Bakeshop is one-of-a-kind. I am obsessed! My girls love going for a sweet treat on our off day and the pumpkin muffin is my absolute favorite. I also use Bull City Bakeshop whenever I need a wholesale/caterer and they consistently hit it out of the park!

I just had the most life changing pumpkin chocolate chip muffin I’ve ever had in my entire life. The decor is superb, the atmosphere is phenomenal. And LITERALLY everything I tasted was incredible. (I will be returning ASAP when in the chapel hill area) but I ended up purchasing 4 pastries based on looks and the flavors did not disappoint in the slightest. 10/10 would recommend.
