Good location, extremely professional, thorough, and competent. Local rather than a chain.
Highly recommend. They do events quite often and host some running clubs.

I went there today and had such a positive experience! I have a physical disability and was looking for A more supportive sneaker and Ellen, who helped me was so incredibly helpful, informative and patient. She brought out six different shoes for me to try, tied them for me and she helped analyzed how I walked, and what looked better. As a disabled person, you generally have to figure most things out yourself, and it felt really good coming into such a welcoming environment and her giving so much of her time to help me find the correct shoe! I will definitely be back!

A friend and I drove over an hour to come to this store to exchange a shirt from the Uwharrie Mountain Run. I thought it would be a quick in and out and we ended up spending an hour in there. They have a great selection of nutrition items for hydration, endurance and fuel, they had as many Ladies shoes as Mens, and most of all, Sami and Jacob were awesome in assisting us with our questions and purchases. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Sami mentioned that the owner makes sure the employees are well trained, and it shows. I would make the 1+ hour to visit this store again.
2/24/25 - Additional Review: I was in Raleigh last Friday and decided to stop by Bull City to try on a pair of trail shoes. They didn’t have my size, so I tried on a pair that were ½ size larger. Olivia told me she checked the other store, and they had my size. She offered to call over to hold the shoes and ask them to honor the 15% discount, as I was already using the code for other purchases at this location. She also told me that the two stores share inventory, so I wouldn’t be able to check the fit of the two sizes side by side. I really appreciated her telling me this as it set my expectations. This also shows she was thinking about the customer experience. Olivia was helpful answering questions for my friend who was asking about nutrition and hydration during and after a long run. When we mentioned the Uwharrie Mountain Run, she was genuinely interested in talking to us about the distance we ran and our experience. The owner was in the store as well, and he shared a link with me (runwellnc.com) to check out future races. In my two visits to this store, we were always greeted by friendly and knowledgeable employees who are clearly customer focused and passionate about running.

I’m so glad to find a locally owned place with such great service and selection. The second I walked in I was welcomed with helpful questions and guided through the process of finding a perfect pair of trail running shoes. I then got picky and wanted a different color and they went out of their way to place an order. I also got a cool belt that holds a water bottle and a few items like my phone firmly to the small of my back. Lots of cute, clever, and high quality stuff like this to find aside from shoes and clothing. Highly recommend!!!

I came into BCRC after severe foot pain from marathon training. Eryn immediately identified the issue and helped me try on more pairs of shoes than I can count! She was so patient and kind during the whole process. Highly recommend Bull City as they take the time to help you find the right shoe.

My mother and I came here to find shoes following her hip and foot surgery. We were kindly met with Adam, who was so helpful in the process of picking the right shoes. He checked the fit and gave us many options for proper shoes. His recommendations were amazing. Other staff members were also helpful in finding shoes for myself. I highly recommend this business for finding shoes.
