This Irish pub might have the largest outdoor space in downtown Durham. In addition to the massive lawn space, there is a wraparound patio that seats nearly 85 guests. It’s the perfect spot to take in the Durham skyline from picnic benches sprawled across the expansive lawn. The Premier League soccer bar has been known to open early for a Saturday morning game, and with access to all the sports packages and streaming content, you can be sure that it will be possible to watch your game of choice there. It's also a popular Durham hangout with excellent downtown people-watching and sunset views, so you can bring your crew even if they’re not so into sports. The twenty beers on tap and Irish pub food menu will keep anyone entertained.

I am reviewing as a working musician who recently played a show at Bull McCabes. The staff treated us very well. We were fed, and there were no issues with the pay. The stage is very close to the street, load in was very easy. Three hour show went with no hitches. The Amtrak train did pass a couple of times and it was pretty loud, but quick.
It was a Friday night, and most of the tables outdoors were filled with our regulars and folks who came out specifically to see us. If you play here, it is a good idea to bring people. Load out was easy, and at 10:30 at night, no one bothered or begged from us. Would gladly play here again. Not the easiest accessible place, but they have really done the work, and we did have a fan in a wheelchair at the event. There were little kids in attendance for the whole show. Street parking was by fee until 7 pm, and the max was 5 bucks per vehicle. Do the staff a favor and come prepared to provide music through your own PA during your break.

Bull McCabe's Irish Pub has an incredible atmosphere! The decor and vibe absolutely capture the feeling of being in an authentic Irish pub. It's a great spot to hang out and enjoy a few drinks. The drink pours were perfect, and I have no complaints in that area. This place has an amazing outdoor green area with a live band, in the heart of downtown.
However, I was a bit disappointed with the food. The menu was pretty basic, and the options seemed more like frozen, pre-made items rather than freshly cooked meals. I was expecting a bit more variety and quality, especially considering how authentic the atmosphere felt.
That said, it's still a great place to relax with friends and enjoy the pub environment. While the food didn’t meet my expectations, I’d definitely come back to hang out for the atmosphere.

salmon salad was terrible. Pork egg rolls were passable. And we ordered two salads, one small salmon and one large chicken. They were the exact same size. Just charged more..

I went with my dog and sat on the patio. My waitress was very attentive and friendly. They brought my dog out a bowl of ice water as soon as she brought out our drinks. The fish appetizer and deviled eggs had the best flavor and was very fresh. Would definitely recommend!

A decent pub in Raleigh. Came here with my friend and we played a board game over drinks and snacks. Had a really good time! I'm not a huge fan of when restaurants primarily use online ordering, so the service was just alright. But I don't have any complaints.

Great spot to watch a soccer game. Lots of fans gather here so it has a great vibe.
No wait staff outside so you Order and pay on your phone.
The had limited indoor seating, a bar, covered outdoor seating and the large lot of outdoor picnic tables.
Food and drinks came out promptly each time I ordered even when it was crowded. Everything was well seasoned.
Would go back.
