Clouds was originally conceived as a "German-inspired, American-made" brewery. Now, with a second full-service restaurant in Durham's Brightleaf Square, it offers beers in far-ranging styles. Enjoy the people-watching on the patio out front or settle in for a game near one of the many TVs inside the taproom.
Yes, they do have a small arcade! We assumed that from the name, but couldn’t figure that out from the website or reviews.
We stopped by to kill some time with our little one and had a good time.
The service was good. Although its bar order, they were fast and friendly and the food runner was also super friendly.
We sampled several beers and ordered our favs and a big pretzel. The barrel aged stout wasn’t that great, but the remainder of the beers were all good. We were disappointed that the website beer offerings weren’t up to date so we couldn’t try some of the ones that caught our eyes (Thunder Down Under, Mango Weiss, The Merge).
The pretzel is truly one of the best we have ever had! It was crispy on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside… so good!
There are a handful of games to play; foosball, pool, electronic beer pong, pinball, driving, basketball, and some kids claw machines. While this made for a good time, they were very overpriced! $2 per game for most, with a discount if you purchase multiple up front. There were also TV’s all over with the Duke game playing
Overall a great place to enjoy a decent beer!

This place would be so much more successful if they got rid of that manager Brandon or whatever his name is. He's condescending and rude and doesn't know anything about testing repeat customers right. We know the bartenders from being there and they will text us to let us know when he's not there and that's when we come in. The staff says we are not the only ones who they text when he isn't there. If owners see this please wise up and get rid of him. He is joke and a awful manager. Besides him the place is great, good food and games and best staff of any place.

The German street fries I would never get again (curried ketchup is weird and we got regular fries not waffle like the menu said)!
BUT the Saturday $15 pitchers were great!

Clouds Brewcade is a fantastic spot! The atmosphere was fun and inviting, and the pretzel was super soft and absolutely delicious, especially with the cilantro sour cream sauce. The only reason for 4 stars is that the spicy chicken was just okay. Overall, a great experience, and I’d definitely come back!

Was there to hang out & catch up. Cloud locations have always been a good place for casual food. The addition of arcade games adds to the goodtime feel. The beers I tried were top notched.

Best beer in Durham!
Must try Mango Heffe!
But food needs a bit improvement and some freshness. We have buffalo cauliflower which tasted good but seemed frozen. We also had house chips but they tasted little odd, something with oil.

Visited from Tx and came to this bar and had a great time! Very clean and staff is very friendly. Drinks and snacks are really good. Recommend it!

Everything about this visit was 5 stars..service from Kira at the bar, the food and cider, and the emptiness/no wait. Glad I treated myself to Clouds for lunch. Managed to get out in time to avoid walking to my car in the deluge!!

Had a fantastic experience at Clouds Brewing! For all the sour lovers out there, the Muse sour is a must-try! Seriously delicious! Their vegan burger was also amazing - highly recommend it for plant-based eaters (or anyone who enjoys a great burger!). I'll definitely be back to explore more of their sours and menu options.

We went on a game and Easter Sunday so was crowed but we could get table in a minutes and that was there were some free tables but the hostess was really clueless.
We tried the hop JAM IPA: was good!
The nachos: was ok even with the cheese which I decided to order on the side but the combination was good, I recommend them. But what was really AMAZING was the dirty heaven sandwich, I am not lying when I say it was amazing! (Although the portion of consommé they give you is a joke) and comes with a side. They closed when the game finished! Buuu! I recommen here!

Came here on a Tuesday night so it was very empty. Ordered a few appetizers, the big pretzel and also the chicken flatbread. The pretzel was really good, and so was the mustard that came with it. The flatbread was a bit weird. It seemed like one of the cheeses on it didn’t go very well. I would probably not recommend the flatbread. They were also out of most of their beers since they were redoing the menu. So that was pretty upsetting. Waitress was good. Overall fine experience, probably better when they’re not changing things.
