Delicious food and super friendly, fast service! A new Durham fave. We love the Zia Fries (huge, could be shared by 6 people) and the Big Hawaiian pizza (perfect combo of salty, sweet, and spicy).

This was INCREDIBLE. I have to eat gluten free and their pizza is PHENOMENAL. You would never know it’s GF!! Our waitress was amazing. Even the hostess when we arrived allowed us to have a booth when we asked instead of a table since it would be easier for our kids. Such a delicious meal. Will definitely be back! The watermelon salad was so fresh and tasty and the pesto pizza was 👌🏻!!

Stopped in for a quick bite and DIDN’T WANT TO LEAVE! The vibes are immaculate. The food was delicious. And the service was world class. Sat at the bar with Stephanie and was treated like royalty. She took the time to explain the entire menu and made sure we didn’t have any questions. We ordered a pitcher of “Not from the stand” It was refreshing, and tasted like a spiked cherry limeade. For an appetizer we got the Zia Fries…. Do yourself a favor and order these! And of course we had to try a pizza so we settled on the Big Ang with a hot honey drizzle and MY GAWD! I couldn’t say one bad thing about this place if tried. Edit: Brought my parents back the next day for lunch and they LOVED it. Lucy took great care of us and made us feel right at home!

We started off with the Zia fries as an appetizer, large portion and was very good. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, it was crispy and cooked to perfection! We have enough for leftovers to reheat for lunch tomorrow. Our waitress was wonderful Liscinda - the atmosphere was very welcoming in the brightleaf district and there is outdoor seating too ! We made a reservation on a weeknight it filled up shortly after we got there. We will definitely be back to try other menu items since we had such a great experience and left with full bellies!

We decided to try this place after I read some reviews. I opted for reservations since I wasn't sure about the wait times. Our server, Lucinda was great. She greeted us promptly. We had the Zia fries which were plenty fo 3 people, it came with bacon, queso on waffle fries. They did not disappoint. Then we ordered the create your own pizza with vodka sauce, sausage, pepperoni and bell peppers. My only take away was $3.00 for a CAN of soda which of course are no refills. The water that was provided believe it or not tasted great. We will be back to try some other great foods on their menu.

I visited the new Emmy Square in Durham and had a fantastic experience. The Brightleaf Square location is convenient, and the building is beautiful and comfortable. The waitstaff was great, and most importantly, the pizza was absolutely perfect and delicious. As a big fan of Detroit-style pizza, I can confidently say that this did not disappoint. Also, I went on opening night and felt like the "table check-in" pace was really good. Sometimes, owners or managers of restaurants can stop by way too often or linger too long, and it gets awkward, but they really had a good flow. It was just such a lovely experience.
