Geer Street Garden is a locally focused restaurant and bar located in the former Fletcher’s Gulf Station on the corner of Foster and Geer Streets downtown. Serving burgers, sandwiches, salads, special plates and drinks in the relaxed atmosphere of a bar and patio, this restaurant is excellent for both small and large groups. It is an OG restaurant of sorts, with "The Pile" menu item as a must-try on any trip to Durham. For the record, it is not actually a garden, but its covered patio is one of the most coveted picnic seats in Durham.

The food is great but the vibes and folks who work there have kept me coming back. Awesome spot to get a solo lunch and a beer and sit at the bar - I always feel like a regular even though I have only been a few times. I've also gone with larger groups and sat on the patio and it's been a hit with out of towners and locals alike.

It's cute. The ambiance and service are great. But yall, up your burger game or take it off the menu. The bun was overwhelming to the miniscule burger. Toppings were reasonably fresh, nothing special there. The fries were great. But $17 for a burger I'm expecting something good.

Lovely little place to grab a drink and some tasty food. Lots of covered outdoor seating and some booths inside. Overall a really enjoyable place to eat. Food and drinks were all delicious. The banana pudding dessert was fantastic.

DOG FRIENDLY!!! We took the dogs with us and they were given each their own bowl of water. I had eggplant parmigiana with homemade spaghetti and sauce made with lots of fresh garlic. Yummy! My BFF had a bacon cheeseburger with fried green tomatoes. My drink was their special watermelon tea which was delicious. Parking cost $10.00.

This place is a must. The apps and the drinks are delicious and the service is fantastic. We sat at the bar and truly enjoyed our time. The location is great if you want to bounce around to a few places too. I will be coming back.

Updating with cucumber feta salad, goat cheese and beet bruschetta, and partner’s seafood lo mein. Perfect summer lunch spot 💙 // We love Geer Street Garden—a regular haunt, drop in for lunch on a busy work day, weekend drink spot. Andy is just amazing, and TAKE A LOOK at the glorious Daikon Radish Cake in the photo, which was so delicate and fragrant and perfect (omg!). Chinese week is a particular favorite for my partner and me, but you should ALWAYS try the specials, as the menu changes to reflect local produce and everything is delicious—the bruschetta, the salads, the gnocchi! I particularly love the tofu bánh mì. Special shout out to Mark and Brian, who are also extraordinary artists in addition to serving your delicious food and being wonderful human beings to talk with, even during hectic lunch times when they are handling a great many tasks ❤️ We love you, Geer Street!
