Always a good time at Grub. Whenever I go to Durham, I try to make my way over there. For the biscuits and jam. The breakfast bowls are amazing also. Make sure you grab a seat before you order, it can fill up quickly.

DEAR LORD THIS PLACE. First - next level food (more on that in a second). Second - legit prices. Third - atmosphere, venue, and location. I love everything about it. NOW ABOUT THE FOOD. It's crazy to say but only had two dishes and a couple of sides and there were at least three things that are unbelievable. The House Cured CORNED BEEF is absolutely out of this world, (out of this world) and I'm not somebody that normally orders it. It was just incredible. Secondly, the In-House Made CASHEW ALMOND PEANUT BUTTER I could eat from a large cereal bowl. Seriously, if you go try Grub you absolutely need to order a side of the almond cashew peanut butter and eat it with a damn spoon. Third, the carrot cake was 1000% homemade and incredible. Everything else was awesome, also had the blue devil smoothie and it was fantastic. And the breakfast cocktails were totally reasonably low priced.

We went for a brunch on a Saturday. We have to order at the counter and wait at the table we choose. We ordered chicken wings as they have been awarded for the same . Vegan burger and an egg sandwich with a couple of smoothies. The food tasted good and the team did a great job with service. I just realized I didn’t take any pics minus the balloons in the roof top as someone was celebrating an occasion there .. I am told the chicken wings weren’t disappointing at all!!

I had the brussel sprouts sandwich, my friend had the mushroom one which was like a mushroom tempura in a sandwich. Both were delicious and it's nice to see vegetarian offerings that are creative and well thought out. The sweet potato fries were also very good. Atmosphere, decor, service also spot on. Can't wait to go again!

We came to Grub on a Sunday. There was no parking available at the restaurant luckily we found street parking on a side street. We have 2 kids under 2 years old so that made things a little interesting. You have to order at the counter and it wasn’t clear what menu they were on at 12:15, I found out they were doing brunch and lunch (both sides of the menu). I asked for ice water and was told ice water was in pitchers upstairs. We ordered and decided to make the hike upstairs with 2 babies. The upstairs was nice and spacious. I got the Brookstone salad, it was ok I didn’t like the greens it came on and I really don’t like when they put salad dressing on the side, I didn’t think to ask for them to put it on. The chicken was pretty good, I wish I could remember the dressing because that was good too. My significant other got the Mammas big bird sandwich he said it was ok. My son loved the hashbrowns that came with it. We got some Wings to share those were definitely the best part. We asked for a side of beans for my son and the staff was very helpful and willing to run downstairs and order some with our credit card. I really liked my Green Colada smoothie it was delicious. The water pitchers had nothing left in them and I asked for some ice water they happily brought me some ice water from downstairs. There wasn’t any silverware upstairs either just plastic cutlery in bags. They brought us silverware. It was just strange how there wasn’t much upstairs at 12:30 on a Sunday. We will probably be back to try different items on the menu.

Out of all the places my Daughter and I ate for 3 days, GRUB Durham was the BEST with the best prices and food. We actually ate there twice. We will be back on our next visit.

Absolutely love the Barracuda sandwich and the butter bean corn salad on the side. The people are super friendly, warm and welcoming. The service is pretty quick too usually (on the weekday afternoons), weekends tend to be a little busier as this is a very popular brunch place for the locals here. We love to get take outs or do dine-in here often. Their jeweled bird sandwich and sweet potato fries are also pretty solid too.

Trendy little limited service restaurant. They were pretty busy the but we were able to find seating. I wouldn’t recommend trying to go with a large party during busy hours unless you want to sit outside. There is very little interaction with staff but they were polite. The food came out pretty quick and looked great, but was unfortunately dry and overcooked.

My go to breakfast spot since moving to Durham in 2019! Wendy her staff are so welcoming. Grub has a great laid-back atmosphere and amazing food. Pauli's pimento has been a recent favorite.

Food was so good and at a great price! We got hot chocolates, the west end grain bowl, chicken bacon biscuit, and house made chips. So well made and will definitely come back.

Based on my rating, you can tell I did not care for the food. I see they have thousands that rate them very highly, and I hear their catering service has a great reputation. I found the food less than average, and the presentation made it seem even less. The grit bowl was served in a paper bowl and the coffee in a paper cup. I had a hard time figuring out how to get water. You have to order prior to setting down. You are given tip options prior to getting your food or even setting down. I doubt I will return.

Nice little restaurant, good food with reasonable prices. Salads were delicious. Not a ton of inside seating but they have a large patio. Looks like they do a lot of carry out. There’s no tap water though, have to pay for bottled.

Great restaurant! I have eaten in and also gotten large catering orders for pick up and the experience is always great. They are very nice. The restaurant can get busy but lots of people do take out so it's not too hard to find an open table. For dine in and take out you order at the front and then if you are dining in they bring your food to you.
