Loved pretty much everything about the place. Clubhouse is unique and has a good vibe to it. Couches, a solid grill, pro shop. Course feels gigantic to play. Give yourself an earlier t-time this time of year to be able to finish. Go have dinner at Bullock's BBQ after and thank me later. 4 minute drive from the course.

Okay course and good condition. It gets backed up. We waited on 15 of the 18 holes. However looking at their posted times we were only about 10 to 15 minutes off the mark. They keep it moving.

$13 to walk 9 holes is unheard of these days, and the course is in solid condition for the price. Plus the staff are always very friendly and accommodating.

Great fun. Great public course centrally located in Durham. 60 brand new carts as of this past fall.

Very nice Municipal course in Durham. The course is priced appropriately and greens rolled nice even though being punched a week prior. We did have a hangup with our neighborhood "friendly" ranger. We were a foursome (riding) playing behind another foursome of locals that were walking... We literally had to wait on every hole. At hole 3, a ranger actually told us to go ahead and hit even though the other foursome were still in the fairway. He let us know that there was a 2some a couple of groups behind us that were being held up.... on a Saturday morning.... in the summer time.... where there is an abundance of walking players. Guys in the pro shop were very nice and the food at the turn was good too. The group behind us said he treated them the same way. Course is ok, the staff on the course needs something to do.

Disclaimer - It was the day after a downpour and it rained during the round. I only got through 15 holes before the sky opened, but had 2 birdies on the day. On to the course review, as I've played here a few times already. Tee Boxes 4/5 - No real issues, even on par 3s. Fairways 3.5/5 - Pros, there is grass. Cons, the grass isn't as uniform to give it a higher score. It holds water even with slight rain so playing when wet is a no go. Greens 4/5 - There are no issues other than how they hold water in low spots. When dry, they run well and true with no big bare spots to speak of. The undulations test your line and speed control. Bunkers 2/5 - Holds water for a while after rain and isn't fluffy even when dry. Rather heavy stuff to get through. Amenities 4/5 - Mats only driving range, large putting green, pitching area without green across the road. No practice bunker. Layout 4/5 - Seldom do you come across courses that have multiple greens on holes, much less two holes that do so. Though in my time playing, I've only ever played to the greens on the left. There are a mix of forced layups and blind doglegs that make positioning important, especially taking into account what you need for your approach in. Overall, for the price it is a great play. I like coming out every so often and will continue to do so.

Great place to play. I play often when I visit my daughter who just became a Doctor at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. The staff is excellent and very hospitable. Great range and practice putting green. I would highly recommend this course. For $11 and a walking cart $15 for nine is a great price. I live in Massachusetts and a similar cost for nine would run $45to $50
