I love Mayflower the food is delicious. I moved to Durham, NC in the 90s and I am still a fan. Thank you Mayflower. I only and always get Popcorn shrimp with fries. Delicious great customer service and the wait time is 5-10 minutes hot and fresh. Thank you.

This is my husband’s favorite seafood restaurant.Very unique decorations- there’s a lighthouse inside the dining area- I had the very generous delicious combination of flounder & popcorn shrimp with a baked potato & Cole slaw. My husband had a very delicious trout combo with the same sides.
Those with accessible needs be aware there’s a railing sidewalk to walk around to the restaurant and there is accessible parking available.

We haven't been here in many, many years, so I read through some reviews, and we decided to give it a shot for lunch on Saturday. We were pleasantly surprised in all respects!
The service was excellent! Very friendly waiter who was very attentive and made sure our drinks were filled and got anything else we might need.
The food was delicious! Everything was lightly fried to perfection. My spouse had fried scallops that she said were perfect with fries. I had the white fish and clam strips with a baked potato. The fish was so flakey, and so many of the clam strips were much bigger than I've seen in years, plus no rubbery texture. Both entrees came with slaw. We both had leftovers.
The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with a nautical theme throughout, including an actual boat serving as the desk where you pay when leaving.
We were thrilled to find the Mayflower serving up such great seafood and plan on returning sooner rather than later. Honestly, I'm surprised there wasn't a line out the door!

I love it here ! Everything is value. The food is always fresh and hot. The sauce is always yummy. The hush puppies are perfect and golden. I always get the shrimp. However they have so many types of fish available. If fried seafood isn't your thing you can always order your food broiled. The staff is friendly and the crowd is diverse. Definitely worth a visit !

The food is consistently good. I’ve never gotten anything that’s not well-cooked and delicious. It’s not “fine dining” seafood, but it’s family friendly, tastes good, the portions are large, and the prices are reasonable. We regularly visit, and my kids like to look at the fish tanks. The staff is always friendly. Well worth a visit for a filling meal.

OMG! So clean, excellent service, and HUGE portions! It was tasted so good and so fresh. I'll be driving in from Greenville because our Mayflower doesn't even come close. If you've never tried it, go. It is awesome!
