easily the best burger in a laid-back atmosphere in Durham. staff and cooks are super attentive to doing things right, and they every single time I've been here, they consistently make a delicious meal.
they absolutely respect the burger, and flawlessly deliver one of the best burgers I have ever had anywhere.
my only negative comment is that I wish they would cook the fries a bit longer so they would be browner & crispier, but that is just a personal preference.
love this place for both eat-in and takeout

Overall the food is good, the food is always nice and hot and taste good. The order is mostly accurate and ready based on the established wait time. The dine-in option is not the best so I would always suggest to take it to go unless it is nice outside and you can eat at the tables they have outside.

If you like skinny fries, these are the best. Great burgers too ofc. I've tried every burger on their menu, but the pimento cheese burger is my favorite. True to their food truck roots, the brick and mortar store feels like hamburger joints of decades ago.

Fatima, the cashier, and those making the food are friendly people. I've been twice, saw the manager twice, and he's yet to acknowledge me or some of the other customers I've seen come in. You're welcome for our patronage, fella!! That guy helped them to lose a star. Hopefully, his friend, the owner, is appreciative.

I love Only Burger for its unique burger items, like The Carolina and The Philly. It is the epitome of a southern burger place. However, I had some less than perfect experiences about 4 months ago, when I had visited Only Burger two weeks in a row. On one occasion, I had ordered a chili burger (The Carolina) and chili cheese fries. My chili fries were hot, cheesy, and fresh, but my chili burger wasn’t warm enough. Even though it comes with coleslaw on it, the temperature was not where it should have been. On both occasions, I sat at the first table and the ketchup was not fresh. I also had tried the fried green tomatoes during this two-week period, and they were not what I was hoping for. The batter they were fried in tasted stale and old. I probably will continue to come here occasionally. I’m hoping that these experiences were just a one-off (well, a two-off) situation, as they happened within a week of each other.

Is there a time and place for some five guys Cajun fries? Absolutely. How about the need to honor a Shake Shack cheese sauce craving? 100%. Is there still a place for Shaun‘s bacon cheddar burger and a chocolate milkshake at Al’s? You know it. But if you want the best burger in the triangle, come here.
Absolutely delicious flavor ..let’s start with the bun: it’s toasted to perfection with a crispy edge that leads perfectly into a well seasoned burger. Personally, I go for the deluxe, but to each their own. Rounded out with a cheese and bacon stuffed jalapeño popper and there’s pretty much nothing better you could do.
A goal I have is to get the deluxe, add two jalapeño poppers on top, and buckle up. I will also add that the thin fries are not my favorite style, but I think they do thin fries better than anybody else! Also, the shakes I’ve had in the past are probably the biggest area for improvement… Too liquidy.

I was seriously just craving a GOOD BURGER and a REAL CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE. This placed DELIVERED just that! My burger was hot, juicy and delicious. The shake was thick and yummy! Will be returning here again! Am I the only one who thinks it’s not a chocolate shake unless it’s made with chocolate ice cream?

The person at the register was very knowledgeable, sincere and friendly. I'm vegan and was craving an impossible burger (on the menu). I asked if the bun is vegan and they gave me the honest truth that it's not vegan and shared that the restaurant is searching for a vendor that supplies good quality vegan buns and vegan cheese. They also shared that they'd accommodate me if I brought my own bun. They also offered a lettuce bun but I was craving simple carbs. I asked about the fries- cooked in veg frying oil separate from meat items. I wasn't going to buy fries but I was really happy with their honesty so I decided to spend a few bucks. The cooks shared warm smiles while they prepped. Napkins and ketchup in the bag without having to ask.

This place served me one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life! A high quality and generously portioned beef patty served under ingredients so fresh that you can taste the difference. The pickle chips were an amazing addition as well. They were thick, juicy, and bursting with flavor from the first bite. The breading wasn’t overwhelming nor was it lacking, the perfect crunch! The service was top notch as well. I waited no more than 10 minutes to receive my food, hot and fresh. The owner and staff are also extremely polite and courteous, and the environment was very welcoming. A true 11 out of 10 experience.
