While most restaurants reopened their dine in service long ago since covid isn't a pandemic anymore, I'm happy to say Orient Garden has finally reopened their dine in service rather than just having take out.
The menu isn't as big as before, and the prices have gone up, which is understandable. They haven't added soup back to the menu yet, but they said they will soon.
My spouse and I each got a spring roll, which was bigger than I remembered. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as I recall it being.
She got the shrimp and mixed vegetables, which she said was just okay, but it was a very big portion. I had the Szechuan chicken, which had tons of huge pieces of chicken, but was just okay too. We both had plenty of leftovers to bring home. It tasted much better as leftovers.
Hopefully, this was just reopening jitters cos they always had the best Chinese around.

So sad I've been sleeping on Orient since I moved to this area months ago. I would always see a line of people in front of the window, and I just thought it was because they hadn't started in person dining yet. No, well, maybe some was due to that, but most was due to the amazing food.
Immediately upon walking in, I was told to order the general tso chicken. However, I went with the broccoli and chicken, which I was told was also good. I got a side of fried rice and was excited upon opening my food. The dish had tons of chunks of chicken, broccoli, and carrots--literally, I haven't seen pieces of carrots so big in my life.
Similar to other reviews, the food is good, but it could use some additional seasoning. I decided to add red pepper and garlic when I got home, and this really popped it up and gave it so more flavor-if they could do this in their kitchen, it would make it even better! The service is also great and quick as well!
Be prepared for two to three meals as they give you tons of food for a pretty good price. And now that I know I have a good Chinese fusion spot near me, I will be checking them out more often.

Best Chinese food in the triangle area! Always fresh, hot, and flavorful. They give large portions of food as well. A little pricey but worth it!

I'm writing this review because I take this restaurant for granted. You see, Orient Garden is my "go to" (American) Chinese restaurant. However, they're not open on Sundays. And this past Sunday I wanted Chinese food. So I ordered my usual from a different restaurant. A restaurant equally as convenient to my location and that actually has more reviews and more stars on both Google and Yelp. And look, the substitute restaurant was no slouch, they had fair pricing and generous portions. But at Orient Garden 1) I'm confident you get more food for your money AND more importantly the food (General Tso's) is way better. In hindsight, I would have rather skipped out on Chinese Sunday to get my fix from the Orient Garden later in the week.
Orient Garden, I apologize for my past indiscretion. I'm not perfect. I can't promise I won't stray here and there in the future. But I do promise never to take you for granted again.

Used to be 5 stars. But as others have said: it seems like the new management has changed the recipes. The chicken they use is definitely different. My wife always gets the orange tofu and reports that that is different too. Bummer.
Not terrible but not up to the standards this place used to put out.

What happened to my favorite Chinese restaurant!? :’( this was my first time getting takeout since the new ownership. The flavor is all gone. I will say it’s cooked well and portions are still nice, but gah no spice or strong flavor.

I treat myself once a month to their Sesame Tofu! It's worth every bit of the cost!!! I even have my coworkers ordering from here. The food is fresh and they give you a lot for this dish.
