This was a "happy little accident"! We originally came over here for Guglhupf, and pulled into this parking lot, decided to go in, and we're more than pleasantly surprised! The food is flavorful, healthy, and I feel full-and clean- eating it! I had the Fresh Strawberry smoothie and Baked Oatmeal. The smoothie is so fresh- like it came from a garden! The Baked Oatmeal is just that! It's crunchy on top from being baked, it's slightly squishy in the middle with blueberries. I love oatmeal and this made my day! My fiance had French Toast and his face lit up! It has not lit up like that in YEARS!! Over the moon happy!!

Delicious comfort food with plenty of vegan options. Wide selection of desserts (also vegan). The staff is friendly and professional. High quality tea and great wine list.

Wonderful atmosphere, great Food, great service every time. This is where I take friends for breakfast or brunch It has become one of my favorite spots. The shrimp and grits is completely out of this world. Amazing cooks. I can’t say I have ever left disappointed!

Came to town for a wedding in Durham. Plenty of good breakfast and lunch options. The Rise & Shine breakfast was perfect.

The food was great! Definitely passed the vibe check for me- since we were seated outside. Went there for a lazy Saturday morning breakfast and ended up loving their chicken and waffles. Enough parking they forgot to bring out my peach sweet tea but we requested the refund and wasn't given nasty attitude like other spots these days. Overall good experience and good food!

Really enjoyed the delicious food from this cafe, especially the Chicken and Waffles and a side of Bacon which I ordered. However, the staff member who took my order was very slow, and took a LONG time to process my order, which really impacted my meal. I think she was new, which is why another staff member came and helped out. Also, the food came out quite quick and that was great. They have a great food selection which a lot of items to choose from!

Refectory We went to the Refectory Cafe for lunch on a Saturday (they were doing brunch). We walked in and weren’t sure where to order at first. We walked to the register and ordered. They gave us a stand for our table (not a number). Our food came out very fast and it was delicious. I got the French Dip sandwich it was so good. I opted for traditional French fries they were the best fries I’ve had for a while. The French Dip was amazing it had the perfect amount of meat. My boyfriend got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich he loved it he said it had the perfect amount of crunch from the toasted bun and the sauce was perfect. We liked it so much we came the next day as well. This was Sunday it said wait to be seated so we did, we sat down and were told to order at the front. A little confusing but no big deal. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with fries my boyfriend got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich again and I got my son the butternut squash soup. The chicken sandwich was really good. The French dip however was my favorite. The squash soup was ok, my fussy 1 year old wouldn’t eat much of it. We will definitely be back though!
