Just a heads up this place is closed down two days from when I'm writing this review(so 8/15/24). I had an appointment scheduled for today and showed up early. No one was there to unlock the door and the phone seems to be disconnected. I got no email notifying me they are closing down and my card was charged when I made the appointment. Really I'm posting this here because I'm hoping the owner will see it and get in contact and other folks won't try to book an appointment since their website still have book able sauna slots. Updated review: The owner did get in contact with me 11 hours after I left my review and emailed them. I appreciate them getting back to me and refunding me which is why I'm bumping this up by 2 stars. TL;DR the owner has been repeatedly begging me over email to remove my review or she will make sure this gets taken down. If it does, I'm not worried about it. Nothing I have said is untrue to my experience. Below is a comprehensive account: - 7/25/24, I booked an appointment for a float and sauna at 6:30pm on 8/13/23 - Got email confirmation of appointment 8/11. Received reminders on 8/11 and 12 - Showed up at about 6:25pm, 5 minutes early as directed in the email. - Knocked on the door, no answer, for about 15-20 minutes. Called the number listed, which turned out to be disconnected. 6:27pm, I email the address listed on the website about the situation - Go to their website again. This time I see they will be shutting down in 2 days - Call the leasing company to get a back up number for the business but none exists - I send a follow up email at 6:51 saying: -- no one was there for my appointment and the door was locked -- asked for a refund in 24hours or that I'd need to issue a charge back -- informed them you can still book sauna sessions on their site - I post this review - 8/14/2024 6:05am, the owner emails me. A refund is issued. She apologizes and explains: -- She decided not to renew her lease a while ago and the landlord has allowed her to close a few months earlier. --She did block off appointments but mine was overlooked. -- "you must have booked a while ago as we didn't offer floats at that hour for months." -- She asks I consider taking my review down. - 10:05am I respond by: -- acknowledging they are going through chaos -- explained my review is based purely on facts -- pointed out that appointments were still available online -- apologized for the review creating further grief -- wished them the best in their business journey - 10:35 am, the owner emails me that: -- explaining again the chaos and stress of trying to close down their business with a limited time frame -- asks I take down the review again, saying it was wrong of me to put it up in the first place -- "if you choose not to that is on you I will then have to dispute... I would never ever close my doors leaving my customers "hanging " it's simply not how my business was run so what you said just wasn't accurate or fair that's all :)" - 10:37 am, the owner emails me a copy of the refund transaction. - 2:06 pm, the owner emails me again: -- asking if I will take down my review -- "Please note ... the only thing that's causing me grief at this juncture is going to be wasting my time disputing it which I will win because you did not see the note on the website and unfortunately, you just didn't give me a minute to reply... Also if you leave it up, I will also leave a much different explanation then I already have as to what happened so my customers know the truth below your comments." - 7:06 pm, I see her email and respond letting her know I'd update this review to ensure accuracy of events To the owner, I cannot share the full email exchange because of the character limit so I have tried represent the exchange as accurately and neutrally as possible. Again, I'm sorry you are struggling with the closure of your business and wish you the best. To the Google board who reviews this, to be clear, I never received services from this business. This is a review of my experience and lack of service.

Had my 1st float here over the weekend. Wonderful experience. Facility was inviting and immaculately clean. Everything was explained thoroughly. If i lived locally i would definitely be back.

My wife and I had the chance to visit and came out absolutely refreshed. The staff was very friendly and Kate, the owner, is very responsive via email. The facilities were very clean, and it was nice to feel pampered. If you're in the Durham area I would encourage you to check them out.

SW Float is incredible. The atmosphere is relaxing, clean and professional. Sam is always cheerful, does a great job making customers feel welcomed.
