This is a great place spend some time looking for your next read. Friendly staff with inclusive choices. You are also supporting local business.

I loved the section on local topics and authors. They have a large kids section. They also have a great variety of nonfiction books. They had no romance that I could find but they made up for it with charm. The staff is also well informed.

Lovely bookshop. Even though it's a small shop it has a great variety of books. Loved the atmosphere and would definitely come back again.

One of the best bookstores in NC! It’s obvious that someone puts a lot of time and effort into curating the store and it really shows. I almost always end up picking up something when I go in. The staff are also super friendly and eager to help you find anything you need.

I have always loved The Regulator! It is such a cozy space and provides a wide array of topics and books, with a good mix of independent authors, major releases, and local authors. The staff has always been lovely and are fantastic at recommending a good book to pick up. I highly recommend it as a place to stop in and browse for a while. In a time where local book stores are becoming fewer in number every year, I am always so happy that the regulator is still around.
