One of the best bookstores in NC! It’s obvious that someone puts a lot of time and effort into curating the store and it really shows. I almost always end up picking up something when I go in. The staff are also super friendly and eager to help you find anything you need.

I have always loved The Regulator! It is such a cozy space and provides a wide array of topics and books, with a good mix of independent authors, major releases, and local authors. The staff has always been lovely and are fantastic at recommending a good book to pick up. I highly recommend it as a place to stop in and browse for a while. In a time where local book stores are becoming fewer in number every year, I am always so happy that the regulator is still around.

I love it here - everyone is helpful and kind. Their kids section is great as are their recommendations!
Online ordering is convenient (you can do that at the Regulator too), but who wants to give up the experience of going to your bookstore? The calm, safe environment, the smell of books, the friendly people, the opportunity to run across books you could love that isn't dictated by some algorithm that boxes you in. Need I say more?
