I thought it was going to be fantastic since it's enormous! It's in an old Walmart location. My Durham-based friends all love it, so recommended I head there for furniture. Lots and lots of furniture, I think their best area was filing cabinets. However, U got there 15 minutes after their Saturday opening time and the resellers had been to work and had cart loads and shopping carts full of all the good dishes, shoes, everything that they were just going to jack up the price on. A bit cut-throat since they took so so much, leaving very little and the dregs for the normies. As for the furniture, it was all decent, priced moderately well, but all new builds or just 90s and more recent items. Nice piano selection. I think it's good for those who also need delivery. Personally, I was turned off by the resellers and how far out of the way it is.

My parents and I went on Saturday looking for some furniture. They had no way to get it home that day and were told they had 3 days to pick it up. They asked if there could be any kind of extension since they lived a ways away. They were told they could have a week and purchased almost $500 worth of stuff. My dad rented a U-Haul today and went up there to get the things they had purchased. When he arrived he was told everything had been put back on the floor and repriced (higher). We will not be returning. I would like to say that the people that helped us that day were wonderful and even tried to help my dad out today. This is not a reflection on them but the management. Edit: Danny, the manager that was there last Saturday, called today and is having what we bought delivered. Thank you Danny! I’m not sure which manager was there Friday but her customer service skills need some work.

The best thrift store for furniture and home decor. When you hear the spirit of the Trosa calling, go to her. She has something for you. Will you quiet yourself enough to hear her?

I feel so lucky to live very close to TROSA thrift store. It is absolutely wonderful. I have found so many treasures there. And I love that the store is so large and well organized. I never feel cramped or squeezed in, as is common in other thrift stores. I especially enjoy the $5 bag sales in the parking lot- sifting through piles of potential treasures is my happy place. I also really appreciate how easy it is to donate items at the curb. I completely support the mission and invaluable community service that TROSA provides. Durham is so lucky to have it! I only wish that they were open 7 days a week (for some reason I always want to thrift on Monday and am bummed when I remember that they are closed).

I scheduled a large donation pick up at my apartment and the experience was exceptional. I had a ton of stuff and large furniture and the 2 guys that came were in and out in less than 1 hour. Communication beforehand was also great. They took pretty much everything which was such a big help as I was moving out of state. The guys that came were on time, professional, and efficient. Highly recommend if you have a large items to donate!

GREAT thrift store. So many quality items at reasonable prices. Ideally, I'd spend 2 days in order to go through the store. Staff is friendly and helpful as well. I live a few hours away but have put this on my roster to visit whenever I'm nearby.

Thank you for doing such great work in our community! I recommend Trosa to my friends and family all the time. Love and look forward to your beautiful tree farm every year. I have never seen harder workers and the trees are truly majestic. I work close by and get to enjoy the season that much more. Thank you.
