Durham is home to immigrant-owned galleries, award-winning eateries, and rainbow flag adornments. Durham is home to churrerias. Black Wall Street and Hayti. Dreadlocks. Classical symphonies. Queer country nights. Durham is ever-changing but never changing.

As its destination marketing organization, Discover Durham is committed to reflecting the Durham community's diversity in all that we do. We are working to build and sustain an equitable, diverse, and inclusive staff. We promise to share the disproportionately underrepresented and unseen communities in tourism marketing. We will support actions in our communities that seek to achieve equity and justice for everyone, including visitors, stakeholders, and residents alike.

Platitudes aside, we believe that Black Lives Matter, y’all means all, and that no humans are illegal. Yes, we know; these are plastered on yard signs across Durham. Doesn’t make our position on them any less true.
