AfterHours: Science of Beer
Leave the kids at home! This event is for adults 21+!
Join in for everyone’s favorite beer-themed event! Enjoy the indoor and outdoor exhibits while reps from your favorite breweries serve up samples and the science behind them all evening long.
Enjoy live music, hop over to play lawn games, and relax in the outdoor biergarten. Then, take a sunset train ride on the Ellerbe Creek Railway and explore the Magic Wings Butterfly House. Delve into all things from fermentation to beer foam, along with crafts, activities, demonstrations, and more!
Not a big beer drinker, but love science? Don’t fret! Along with a variety of beers, they’ll also have wine and a specialty “mocktail” available for purchase at cash bars. Tickets also include a commemorative “Science of Beer” cup.
Bulkogi and Trash Talk food trucks will also be on-site for purchase. All money raised from this event will benefit Museum conservation and education initiatives, which help inspire lifelong learning. Food trucks, Experiments, and Beer—what could be better?
Music provided by: The Hourglass Kids – a reggae-rock band whose music spans an eclectic mix of styles, blending roots reggae, psychedelic jam, hip-hop, funk, and jazz-rock.
