"An Artful Summer" Artist in Residence Series @ JB Duke Hotel

The AAA Four Diamond JB Duke Hotel, a contemporary property located on Duke University’s campus, is fusing the magic of hospitality and artistry in partnership with the Durham Art Guild as part of a new artist in residence series, “An Artful Summer.” Every Tuesday at 6 p.m., May 28 to August 13, the JB Duke Hotel invites guests and the public to the sleek, contemporary Lobby Lounge to experience firsthand six of Durham’s most acclaimed artists creating unique masterpieces in real time.

Tuesday, May 28 and Tuesday, July 9 – Ann Harwell, fiber artist

Tuesday, June 4 and Tuesday, July 23 – Matt Tomko, painter

Tuesday, June 11 and Tuesday, July 16 – McKayla Walker, painter

Tuesday, June 18 and Tuesday, July 30 – Antonia Brown, painter

Tuesday, June 25 and Tuesday, August 6 – Soonja Cook, painter

Tuesday, July 2 and Tuesday, August 13 – Delayna Robbins, painter

Guests are invited to get cozy in the Lobby Lounge’s array of plush seating areas while engaging with each artist. A diverse selection of sharable appetizers, creative entrées and handcrafted cocktails are available for order throughout the evening. Menus are available online.
