Ask a Speech-Language Pathologist

Join Village Growth Network for a round of “Ask a Speech Language Pathologist”. Meet at the playground at Pineywood Park. This event will include a blend of individual mini-sessions, group education, and facilitated discussions.

++Individual mini-sessions: You and your little one(s) will get a 10-minute private session with Dr. Jennifer Stone, SLP, to address any specific questions or concerns you have.

++Group education: Dr. Stone will lead a handful of 5-10min group presentations spread through the two hour event.

++Peer discussion: Between your individual session and the group presentations Kelly Partner will help facilitate small group discussions about a variety of communication topics.

Some of the topics that will be addressed during the event include:

++Narrating - how much is too much? too little?

++Non-verbal communication

++Reading routines

++Media literacy - starting young

++Speech milestones

++Growing vocabulary

++Screen time and speech/language

++Using the language of math and science early
