Durham Medical Orchestra: Virtuosity, Drama, and Delight
The Durham Medical Orchestra’s free spring concert will feature the winner of their inaugural Concerto Competition, Marisa D’Silva, playing Jacques Ibert’s Concerto for Flute and Orchestra. Marisa has been an integral piece of the DMO since its founding, and they’re thrilled to showcase both her lyricism and technical brilliance in this lively and expressive piece. The program will also feature the harmonic depth and structural grandeur of Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major, and the beloved, dynamic Overture from Poet and Peasant by Franz von Suppé.
Free admission, all are welcome
