Emancipation Day Celebration

Friends of Geer Cemetery is hosting its annual Emancipation Celebration at the cemetery. There will be a speech by retired Judge Beverly Scarlett and a libation ceremony.

Community members are invited to experience the historic value of the cemetery to the Durham community. The Geer Cemetery has been a part of Durham for all its 150 years.
