Feb. 3rd Friday - Artist Talk with African American Quilting Circle
Hayti Heritage Center is hosting an evening of reflection, storytelling, and celebration, and you’re invited! Drop by to explore Hayti’s incredible 50-year legacy and connect with your own family’s stories in an interactive, hands-on space.
Here’s what to expect:
See the new exhibit by The African American Quilting Circle. They are celebrating a 25 year legacy of preserving and passing down the long tradition of quilt art in the Black Community. The exhibit - Ubuntu: I AM Because WE ARE opens Jan. 17th and is on display thru March 16th
The 3rd Friday in Feb. they'll have an Artist Talk with the member of the quilting group for you to get insights to their process and what the art of quilting means to them and our community.
It’s a beautiful way to connect with our shared history and the stories that make us who we are.
