Indigenous Beading Workshop

Step onto land once occupied by area Siouan-speaking nations. Learn the history of the land and the culture of Indigenous beading. Participants will receive instruction on simple beading techniques as they create unique beaded jewelry. Registration fees cover supplies including gemstones, tools, and other materials. Participants will leave with their creations and an understanding of the importance of beading in Indigenous culture.

This workshop is a collaboration between Indigenous Memories and the Eno River Association.

Accessibility information: This program takes place in the Eno River State Park visitor center's education room. The building and room can be accessed by a ramp. Restrooms are available on-site.
