Kamala Harris Mural Installation

Ella West Gallery, located in the heart of Black Wall Street in downtown Durham, North Carolina, is one of five locations across the country hosting grassroots “artivism” murals featuring new art by Shepard Fairey, the designer behind President Barack Obama’s iconic 2008 election campaign’s HOPE poster. The artwork features a portrait of Vice President Kamala Harris in red, white, and blue with text proclaiming FORWARD, echoing the Democratic presidential nominee’s “We are not going back” slogan. The wheat paste mural will be installed by Thursday morning and celebrated with a community event.
