Paradiso XXII: Lizzy Hindman-Harvey, Kristen Waters, Dylan Angell

Lizzy Hindman-Harvey, is a multidisciplinary artist working in printmaking, poetry, public art, and landscape. Her body is her medium to document stories of perception, orientation, and emotion. She approaches mark-making symbolically using the monotype, a method that illustrates the iterative and repetitive ways a body processes the phenomena of the remarkable and the everyday. Her artwork has been published by the Silent Academy, Poetry Slut Rodeo, and featured at The Rhode Island School of Design and The University of Pennsylvania.

Kristen Waters is an anarchist, somatic practitioner and self-published writer. She feels most held at sea-level, where the ocean gives no fucks about her. Throughout 2022, Kristen wrote as a way to move through the experience of watching her sister die. The Process that Leaves Me with a Dead Sister is a brutally honest poetic prose piece that narrates the experience of losing a beloved younger sister to a cancerous brain tumor over the course of nine months. Kristen weaves the timelessness of grief with the intimacy of coming to find her sister, and thus herself, more so than ever before. Kristen is based in Durham, NC.

Dylan Angell is a writer and musician based in Durham, NC. He has released a number of books and chapbooks including Demanding the Room ( Bored Wolves Press) Anywhere I Lay My Head (The Silent Academy) and Photo Never Taken (The Concern Newsstand). He recently released a collection of writing with artwork by Lizzy Hindman-Harvey titled Airs. He performs in the band Lightbulbs in the Trees and co-organises the multimedia series Evenings. He has collaborated with many visual artists including Mark He, Peter Hurley and Erin Taylor Kennedy.
