RTP180: AgTech

North Carolina’s rich agricultural history meets cutting-edge innovation at RTP180, Frontier RTP’s quarterly speaker series, with “AgTech.” The in-person event is officially sold out, but interested parties can stream it live via PBSNC Livestream on Thursday, May 15 at 6:00 p.m. Tune in as experts from across the Triangle, including Dr. Greg Goins from NC A&T, Justin Gayliard of BASF, Amanda L. Rose from RTI International and Dr. John Gottula from SAS, explore the high-tech future of agriculture and the innovations shaping the work of farmers and producers in our state. In just five minutes or less, each speaker will share their unique perspectives on topics such as artificial intelligence in agriculture, tech accessibility for small agri-producers, agri-food systems, digital farming and biosolutions research.

At 5:00 p.m., attendees are invited to a meet-and-greet with Dr. Catie McVey, founder of OsRostrum, Inc., and Pearl, a retired show cow from the Ran-Lew Dairy, for a hands-on demonstration of the AgTech startup’s AI-driven tech. Scientists from Pairwise will also be onsite to discuss the role of CRISPR gene editing in agriculture and the foods we eat.
