Gerry Potoka comedybygp
Gerry Potoka started stand-up comedy because being a public educator just isn’t quite entertaining enough. Transplanting from Richmond County, North Carolina to Raleigh, Gerry’s personal experiences and perspectives offer a unique portrayal of his day-to-day life, career, thoughts, and feelings. Through performing up and down parts of the East Coast, having worked with Gaspare Randazzo and Sam Salem, featuring on Don’t Tell Comedy shows, as well as performing on and producing shows across North Carolina, Gerry is guaranteed to make you chortle (that is a smart people word for “laugh”)
Von Mychael @vonmychael
Von Mychael is a rising comedian and sketch artist from Chester, Virginia, who has built a name for himself in the comedy scene. He is a six-time winner of the Funny Bone’s Clash of the Comics competition and a two-time winner of Amateur Night at the Apollo, where he also earned second place in a major competition. Von is the creator of the Von Mychael Sketch Show, blending comedy sketches with stand-up performances. He regularly performs across Washington, D.C., and has opened for notable comedians such as Jon Reep, Damon Williams, and Guy Torry. His innovative sketches can also be streamed on platforms like Amazon Prime
Liz Donehue @whatsnewdonehue
Liz Donehue grew up in Seattle, where she realized she wanted to do more with her Creative Writing degree than sleep on her mom's couch and watch reruns of Ghost Adventures. After moving to Minneapolis in 2011, she began shaping her edgy and assertive style of comedy. One year after stepping on stage for the first time, Liz was a finalist in the "Funniest Person in the Twin Cities" contest for her sharp and percipient humor. When Liz relocated to the Czech Republic in 2017, it made her act even stronger. While living abroad, opened for Hugleikur Dagsson, Vir Das, and other comedians who call Europe home. The Brno Daily reviewed one of her performances as "a high-octane blow-by-blow account of her chaotic life in a crazy world, complete with tall (scary) tales of US life.” During the pandemic, Liz also hosted the hugely popular “The Most Dangerous Gameshow” on Zoom which featured comedians participating in a Jeopardy!-style trivia show with an unsettling macabre flair. She recently returned to the US and is calling the great state of North Carolina her new home.
