I am the Owner of Robinson Financial, Inc. and we've yet to get to the Hotel and already have experienced such awesome service; via a Front Desk Agent name Zoria B. She has given us the impression already that our stay there, will be awesome. Our son has stayed there many times over in previous times and we certainly see why he keeps coming back. The first impression over the telephone making confirming our reservations, goes a LONG WAY for us at ANY hotel. She stated that she could not wait to welcome us to the HOTEL UPON arrival, and that's such a secured and warm way to go. It's like they already know us or about us well before we even get there. Way to go Doubletree Suites, by Hilton Raleigh-Durham

I have had a good experience staying here. I will first say that the location is located and situated in-between an office park and apartment residential area. The thing that I can't stand is the location. Having divided my time between living in the city and in the suburbs, I'm accustomed to having a walk ability factory and easy access to everything within a 1-2 mile radius. Just know when being out here you'll have to drive everywhere and be prepared for that(which I wasn't) I'm giving this location 2 stars. There is however a lake in the back of the hotel which makes it a little bit better. Another thing I wanted to add is, this location had some of the rooms recently renovated but don't expect to find a kitchen to use. A total waste of space for just having a mini refrigerator a sink and an island prep area. What a waste of a potential good space. Also some of the 2 bedroom suites don't have 2 bathrooms, only one bathroom with a shower and the other one just a half bath. Those are the 3 main gripes I have about this property. The location, the no kitchen and the bathroom shower situation. Overall the staff is really friendly and accommodating. Aleisha made me feel welcomed as soon as I arrived. Also James goes out of his way to accommodate you. The room service is on par and so is the cleaning staff. Also when first checking in Aleisha with give a cookie which tastes like it came out of the oven. What a way to welcome someone upon their arrival. I would recommend this place if you don't mind the non walk ability factor, lack of kitchen and the bathroom shower.

I’m spoiled now. The hotel is tucked away and quiet with comfortable, spacious rooms. The staff were friendly. The pool and property with walking path were great. It says a lot when my biggest complaints were the toilet paper holder was squeaky and there’s not a lot of food around.

The pool was not heated like they said it was because it was connected to the outside pool. There was a sauna that we were unaware of. That was out of order. We were cold in the pool area. Our room was very comfortable. The shower was awesome. I took two showers to warm my body. Lastly, here’s the kicker. Morning time comes, we go downstairs for continental breakfast which hotels normally have for guests. An employee stops us to ask if we have a breakfast voucher. What’s a breakfast voucher? We should’ve received one at check in. Well that information wasn’t told to us by James. The breakfast is $15.99, we went upstairs packed our belongings at left. For $210 a night. You should receive the best service possible. Hotels are not like they used to be anymore. I will never stay at this hotel ever again.

This was our second time staying here and both times were were treated well by the front desk staff. This is an older hotel, but the suites are spacious and our room was clean. The hotel is only one exit away from a mall and lots of restaurant options. I would stay here again.

Disclaimer: This review is lengthy! My family, and I had a wonderful experience here. Everything was good….From the customer service down to the amenities!! I will say the exterior of the building is a little outdated, and it does look like some work is either being done, or going to be done within the parking lot. However, once you get inside all is well. We were in town visiting my kids who attend Central University. The location was perfect! It was literally about 5-7 mins (less than 10) away from the school. Right on hwy 55. As soon as you get off the exit (from 40) it is pretty much right there. It is kind of hidden from the road though. So you have to really pay attention, or you will miss it. For me, I liked that it was sort of secluded. You don't have to worry about fighting traffic to get in, and out! The customer service was great! Especially JAMES at the front desk! He was awesome!!! His personality was wonderful!!! Doubletree/Hilton give that man a raise, vacation, or something (lol). Our room (614) was nice as well. We stayed in one of the rooms that had a separate living room with 2 beds in the room. There was a door to separate the rooms. Everything was working so there was no need to call down to the front desk! The amenities located on the property were nice as well. They had a swimming pool area that was indoors, but had a door that leads to the outside pool area. Lots of seating is available outside as well. They had a basketball area that doubles as a tennis court. They also have an outside volleyball court. They have a little lounging area where you can hang out too. There is also a lake located by the pool area. The fitness room was nice, and clean. My son approved! The elevators are very spacious. You don’t have to worry about anyone breathing down your neck. The restaurant was nice. We ordered the crispy chicken wings, grill cheese sandwich, and some fries. All of it was good. The staff at the front were very nice. I didn’t get the lady’s name who took our order nor did I get the young man’s name who took our order to the cook. They both were very pleasant!! All in all we had a good experience. However, I do have one concern/ issue . I booked online at the last hour using a third party (Expedia). I already had a card linked with Expedia that was through Klarna. The card on file was not the same card that the hotel used. They actually had me to use my bank card (upon check in) which placed a hold for the entire amount on my card. Although the money was there, I didn’t really want to use that method of payment because I already had another card on file with Expedia. I’ve done hotel reservations before using my Klarna/Afterpay accounts, and I’ve never had this issue. I’m not sure what happened this time. Other than that lil hiccup everything else was top tier. P.S. I do have one suggestion…Some type of fencing/barrier needs to be put in place by the lake. Especially for someone who has small children. Some little lights around that area (at night) would be good too. It’s a little dark around there!!

This hotel was wonderful! From the lake behind it that with a walking trail to the friendly staff, this hotel was amazing. Everyone treated my 9 month old so kindly and were willing to answer any and all questions I had. The rooms were cleaned daily by the wonderful staff as well. I highly recommend this location when visiting Raleigh! The pool was part indoor and part outside. It had a small gym and lovely back area to sit and enjoy the early mornings.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. I was immediately impressed with it's secluded location, but within 10 minutes of the mall/shopping district and NC Central University. The lobby gives a wonderful elegant appeal upon entry, and the staff promptly greeted me to begin the check-in process. We were offered warm cookies, which he happily accepted. The corridors are designed to give an "endless" appearance which makes the space seem larger. The room was outstanding and definitely set the bar of what a hotel should look like. I don't have much else to add other than I will certainly return when I visit Durham.

Two brothers, two sisters coming to meet cousins we hadn’t seen in 20+ years!! The front desk was the best!! The 2 bedroom suite exactly what we needed. Cleaned and replenished daily from towels to coffee pot.!! The breakfast staff was so attentive . We’re already planning our next gathering ( in our sixties and seventies so there won’t be any time to dawdle!!)

We stayed here for two nights for a wedding. The suites are really nice and spacious. Staff is extra friendly. My room was ready early. I’m glad I came here instead of staying in a cramped traditional room. The prices are great and also an awesome location. They actually had maid service which a lot of hotels are not offering these day. It was nice to come back to find that our bed was made.
