Convention Center Complex
The Durham Convention Center Complex includes the Durham Convention Center and plaza, the Durham Armory, the Durham Arts Council, and the Carolina Theatre.
When these four spaces are combined, the total square footage of usable and unique meeting space is 74,698 square feet - enough space to accommodate 2,220 meeting attendees (theater-style).
The Durham Convention Center Complex is located in the City Center District of Downtown Durham, four miles from Research Triangle Park, one mile from NC Central University, and nearby to the three campuses of Duke University.
Downtown is a compact and walkable four-square-mile area, with four million square feet of historic tobacco warehouses and cotton mills, all painstakingly restored into unique shops, bustling restaurants, loft-style apartments, trendy artist studios, and thriving businesses. There are also several attractions downtown, including DPAC, Durham Performing Arts Center, as well as the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Durham Convention Center
The Durham Convention Center houses a number of meeting spaces, including three grand ball rooms, four junior ball rooms, two boardrooms, and four meeting rooms, providing guests with a number of different options. The ballrooms can also be set up in banquet-, theater-, classroom-, reception-, and exhibit booth-style. The center also includes the Durham Marriott City Center hotel, complete with 190 rooms. Durham Arts Council
The Durham Arts Council is a private nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts in Durham and the entire Triangle region. Its building includes four galleries, as well as a 200-seat theater and a number of different studios, providing attendees with the chance to experience Durham's impressive arts scene during your event. Durham Armory
An alternative meeting venue, the Durham Armory is made up of an auditorium, two meeting rooms, and three balconies. It can host theater-, reception-, classroom-, banquet-, and exhibit-style events, and was renovated in 2014 with refinished hardwood floors, an exposed brick wall, and a redesigned lobby. Carolina Theatre
